Guide · How to brief

How to brief a deck so it ships on time

Most rush delays come from an incomplete brief — not slow designers. Use this checklist to brief RushSlides (or any presentation partner) so your SaaS or enterprise deck can ship in 24–48 hours.

Who this is for

Managers and directors on a deadline

You have the meeting on the calendar and notes in a doc — not a finished outline.

Founders and GTM leaders

You need a clear ask of the designer without writing a novel.

Chiefs of staff and EAs

You are gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders under time pressure.

The minimum brief that actually works

Send these six items and we can confirm scope and timeline the same business day.

  • Audience: who is in the room and what they care about
  • Goal: the one decision or outcome the meeting must produce
  • Must-have slides: the non-negotiable topics
  • Proof assets: metrics, charts, logos, prior decks
  • Brand constraints: guidelines or “match this deck”
  • Hard deadline: date, time, and timezone

Optional extras that speed polish

Nice-to-haves if you have them — not blockers.

  • Preferred sample style from our [samples](/samples)
  • Slide count range (under 8 / 10–20 / 20–50)
  • Package preference (Starter / Professional / Enterprise)
  • Competitors in-room or sensitive topics to avoid

Pick the right service page after the brief

If you already know the room, brief from the matching page so we get context: pitch deck design, Series A, customer pitch, board / QBR, GTM launch, or rush overnight.

What we will not invent

We structure and design. We do not invent traction, financials, or customer claims. Your numbers stay yours — we frame them for the room.

How it works

1. Fill the checklist

Even bullet dumps are fine if audience, goal, and deadline are clear.

2. Submit the contact form

Or email hello@rushslides.com with attachments.

3. We confirm and design

You get scope, timeline, then a meeting-ready deck.

Use cases

Meeting moved up

Use the checklist + [rush delivery](/rush-presentation-design) when the date will not move.

First time outsourcing slides

Avoid over-briefing visuals and under-briefing the decision.

Multi-stakeholder inputs

Collect must-haves once so the designer is not the bottleneck.

Proof points

Faster confirmations

Complete briefs get a clear yes on 24–48h fit before design starts.

Fewer revision loops

Audience and goal up front cut “this is not what we meant” cycles.

Works with messy notes

Structure is part of the service — you do not need a perfect outline.

Procurement-friendly

Scope and timeline are explicit before work begins.

What you get

FAQ

Can I brief with only messy notes?

Yes. Structure is part of the service. Audience, goal, and deadline still matter most.

How long should a brief be?

Half a page to two pages is plenty. Attach data dumps separately.

Do you sign NDAs?

Share what procurement needs in the brief. We treat materials as confidential.

What if I am not sure which service page to use?

Start on pitch deck design or just submit the homepage form with the room described.

How fast do you reply?

Usually within one business day from hello@rushslides.com.
